P-Stops and P-Moments

P-STOP!!!

Yep, it’s that time…  If you’re like me, there was a time when how far you rode depended on the size of your gas tank.  Now, it depends on the size of your bladder.  And for some reason, the stops come quicker.  Well, while the kickstand is down let me just ramble a bit with you about what’s happening out on the open road with Freedom Biker Church.

We’re in the process of adding content to our NETWORK website.  So HOLD ON!!!  It’s coming.  We’ll have pictures from the different Freedom Biker Churches, more videos, a new website for our Mississippi, Asheville, and the other soon to be coming churches, and hopefully our NETWORK NEWSLETTER will soon be out on the Open Road.  We’ve been so swamped around here that we just haven’t gotten to it.  But it’s coming.  SOON!!!  Isn’t God good?

While I’m parked for a minute, my P-STOP reminds me of another “P” moment in my life.  Yea, I know, while out on the open road anything can come to your mind.  In 1990 I had a major “P” moment in my life.  It involved Putting off some things, and Putting on some new stuff.

Paul tells us in Romans 13:12-14 that, “The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us PUT OFF (Put aside) the deeds of darkness and PUT ON the armor of light.  Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. Rather, PUT ON (Clothe yourselves with) the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature.”

Someone once told me,

“Be what you is, and not what you ain’t, because if you                                                    ain’t what you is, then you’ll be what you ain’t.”

Profound I know, but the truth is, if we are a child of God then we have to be what we are.  The ONLY way that is possible day in and day out is to Put-off the old, and Put-on Jesus (the new).  Stay clothed in HIM.  Hey, is it time for a P-STOP in your life?

Until the next stop,
Preacher Mike
